The 2021 Château Nenin is one of the most elegant wines of the Pomerol appellation. The historic estate, owned by the Delon family, combines the rich clay and gravel soils of Pomerol with meticulous winemaking to create a wine that perfectly balances finesse, complexity, and harmony. The 2021 vintage showcases a classic Bordeaux style in which freshness and terroir expression take center stage.
Thanks to a careful selection of primarily Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc, this wine possesses a refined structure and impressive aromatic precision. Château Nenin is known for its elegant style and ages beautifully in the bottle, making it a delight to drink both young and after many years.
The nose opens with aromas of black cherries, plums, cassis, violets, graphite, cedar, tobacco, and subtle spices. On the palate, the wine is silky smooth and harmonious, with refined tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, mineral finish typical of the finest Pomerols.
Serve at 16–18°C and decant the wine one to two hours in advance. Delicious with entrecôte, lamb, veal, duck, game, mushrooms, and aged cheeses.
The 2021 Château Nenin has excellent aging potential and will continue to develop over the next fifteen to twenty years.
