This original wooden case (OWC6) contains six bottles of the prestigious 2020 Château Mouton Rothschild. As one of the five Premier Grand Cru Classé châteaux, Mouton Rothschild ranks among the absolute elite of Bordeaux. The château is known worldwide for its powerful style, exceptional concentration, and the famous artist-designed labels that make each vintage unique.
The 2020 vintage is considered one of the greatest modern Bordeaux vintages. Thanks to ideal weather conditions, the grapes were harvested with exceptional ripeness, concentration, and freshness. The result is a wine with impressive depth, refined structure, and exceptional aging potential. The original wooden case is a recognizable presentation for collectors.
The nose opens with intense aromas of cassis, black currants, plums, graphite, cedarwood, cigar box, dark chocolate, and subtle spices. On the palate, it is rich and powerful with velvety-soft tannins, impressive concentration, and an exceptionally long, complex finish.
Serve at 16–18°C. Perfect with entrecôte, côte à l’os, lamb, game dishes, and refined gourmet preparations.
Château Mouton Rothschild was classified as a Deuxième Cru in the 1855 classification. It wasn’t until 1973 that it received the exceptional promotion to Premier Grand Cru Classé, following a long campaign by Baron Philippe de Rothschild. Since 1945, virtually every vintage has featured a label designed by an artist. The 2020 label was designed by British artist Peter Doig. His paintings give the wine its own visual identity, in keeping with the tradition whereby Mouton has invited a different artist nearly every year since 1945.
