This original wooden case (OWC6) contains six bottles of the prestigious 2019 Château Mouton Rothschild. Since its promotion in 1973, Mouton Rothschild has been ranked among the five Premiers Crus Classés of the Médoc. The château is known for its powerful style, impressive concentration, and the famous artist-designed labels that make each vintage unique.
The 2019 vintage is considered one of the strongest recent Bordeaux vintages. The combination of optimal ripeness, excellent balance, and refined tannins resulted in a wine with exceptional depth and impressive aging potential. The original wooden case is an attractive château-branded presentation for enthusiasts and collectors.
The nose opens with intense aromas of cassis, black currants, graphite, cedarwood, cigar box, dark chocolate, and subtle spices. On the palate, it is rich and powerful with silky-smooth tannins, impressive concentration, and an exceptionally long, complex finish.
Serve at 16–18°C. Perfect with entrecôte, côte à l’os, lamb, game dishes, and refined gourmet preparations.
Château Mouton Rothschild was classified as a Deuxième Cru in the 1855 classification. It wasn’t until 1973 that it received the exceptional promotion to Premier Grand Cru Classé, following a long campaign by Baron Philippe de Rothschild. Since 1945, nearly every vintage has featured a label designed by an artist. For the 2019 label, the château chose a work by Olafur Eliasson, the Danish-Icelandic artist known for his exploration of light and nature. His design gives this vintage a unique place within the art collection on Mouton labels.
