The 2016 Taylor Fladgate Vintage Port is one of the great modern vintages and is often compared to the best years of the 21st century. This wine impressively combines power, freshness and precision.
In the glass, this port shows a deep, intense ruby color. The nose is expressive with aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, violets and spices. On the palate it is powerful but elegant, with lively acidity, fine tannins and a very long, refined finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with blue-veined cheeses, dark chocolate desserts or as a stylish finale to a dinner party.
The 2016 vintage is considered one of the most precise and balanced vintages of recent years. Taylor Fladgate created a wine with tremendous finesse and storage potential. This bottle is both an excellent choice for keeping and an impressive experience for lovers of young, powerful vintage ports.
