The 2009 Taylor Fladgate Vintage Port is a charming and refined vintage with a slightly more accessible character than the big top vintages. Combining ripe fruit with elegance, this wine offers a nice balance between power and drinkability.
In the glass, this port shows a deep ruby color. The nose opens with aromas of ripe cherries, plums and berries, complemented by subtle notes of chocolate and spices. On the palate, it is supple and round, with soft tannins and a long, elegant finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with desserts with chocolate, nuts or with soft cheeses. Also perfect as a digestif after dinner.
