The 1999 Barros Vintage Port is a classic Douro vintage with an elegant and approachable style. Thanks to years of bottle aging, this wine developed additional complexity and softness, while beautifully retaining its rich fruit and structure.
In the glass, this port shows a deep ruby color with slight evolution. The nose is refined with aromas of black currants, plums, cocoa, figs and subtle spices. In the mouth rich and harmonious, with soft tannins and a long, elegant finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with chocolate desserts, blue cheese or as an exclusive finale to a dinner party.
Barros is known for its traditional style of vintage ports. The 1999 vintage combines ripe fruit, elegance and finesse and today offers a fine drinking experience for lovers of aged vintage ports.
