Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva 2017 - Classic Tuscan Red Wine

An expressive and elegant Chianti from a warm year

The Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva 2017 is a characterful Tuscan red wine, produced by the renowned winery Marchesi Antinori. Sourced from the vineyards of Tenuta Tignanello, this wine embodies the tradition and craftsmanship of the Antinori family. The 2017 vintage is characterized by its ripe fruit notes and balanced structure, thanks in part to the warm growing season.

Chianti Classico with a rich aroma and refined taste

  • Intense aroma: Ripe cherries, blackcurrants and blackberries, complemented by notes of tobacco and milk chocolate.
  • Floral nuances: Subtle hints of dried flowers and aromatic herbs.
  • Wood influences: Delicate accents of vanilla and spice from aging in oak barrels.

Marchese Antinori Riserva 2017 - Full and balanced

  • Fruity onset: Juicy flavors of red and black fruits.
  • Structure: Soft, velvety tannins with fresh undertones.
  • Finish: Long, spicy finish with a hint of coffee beans.

Ideal wine-food pairings

  • Dishes: Perfect with grilled red meat, game dishes and rich stews.
  • Cheeses: Excellent with aged cheeses such as Pecorino or Parmesan.
  • Storage potential: May continue to age for several more years for additional complexity.

Craftsmanship of Tenuta Tignanello

The grapes for this wine are carefully harvested and selected by hand. After gentle pressing, the wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by approximately 12 months of aging in French and Hungarian oak barriques. After bottling, the wine rests for another 12 months in bottle before being released to the market, adding to its harmonious character.
