The 2021 Château Palmer OWC6 (6 × 0.75 L) is one of the most sought-after Bordeaux releases. Château Palmer enjoys an exceptional reputation worldwide and is often considered a wine that can rival several Premier Grands Crus Classés. This original wooden case containing six bottles (OWC6) is particularly popular among collectors and enthusiasts who wish to age their wines for many years.
The 2021 vintage embodies a classic Bordeaux style characterized by elegance, freshness, and expression of terroir. Thanks to an extremely rigorous selection of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, the result is a wine with refined tannins, impressive aromatic precision, and exceptional aging potential. On the nose, aromas of cassis, black cherries, violets, graphite, cedar, tobacco, dark chocolate, and subtle spices come together beautifully. Serve at 16–18°C and decant the wine about two hours in advance. Perfect with entrecôte, lamb, roe deer, venison, duck, truffle dishes, and aged hard cheeses.
Château Palmer is named after the English general Charles Palmer, who acquired the estate in 1814. His name remained associated with a wine that would later, in the 1855 classification, be awarded the rank of Troisième Grand Cru Classé. Another notable chapter began in 2014, when Palmer transitioned to biodynamic viticulture. The 2021 vintage was marked by challenging weather in Bordeaux and calls for a different perspective than the warm years that preceded it. This unique wooden case contains six bottles, allowing enthusiasts to track the evolution of the same vintage.
