MARCHESI ANTINORI CASTELLO DELLA SALA 'BRAMITO DEL CERVO' CHARDONNAY UMBRIA IGT - ELEGANT ITALIAN WHITE WINE FROM UMBRIA

Introduction: A refined Chardonnay from the heart of Italy

The Marchesi Antinori Castello della Sala 'Bramito del Cervo' Chardonnay Umbria IGT is an outstanding Italian white wine coming from the historical Castello della Sala, located in the picturesque region of Umbria. Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, this wine reflects the dedication and craftsmanship of the Antinori family, which has been producing wine since 1385. The vineyards surrounding the medieval castle benefit from a unique terroir, rich in fossil deposits and clay, which contributes to the wine's minerality and elegance.

Aroma - Fresh and Complex

  • Fruity notes: Aromas of Golden Delicious apples and hawthorn.
  • Citrus accents: Hints of lemon zest and lemon cream.
  • Spicy nuances: Subtle hints of vanilla and cookie.

Taste - Full and Balanced

  • Mineral freshness: Refreshing acidity with a touch of saltiness.
  • Sustained finish: A long, elegant finish with light citrus notes.

  • Creamy pastas: Goes perfectly with fettuccine Alfredo or pasta with seafood.
  • Fresh cheeses: Pairs nicely with soft cheeses such as mozzarella or burrata.

Craftsmanship and Provenance - Tradition and Terroir

Castello della Sala, owned by the Antinori family, is located about 18 kilometers from the historic city of Orvieto. The vineyards are located at an altitude varying between 220 and 470 meters above sea level, providing ideal conditions for growing Chardonnay. The grapes for 'Bramito del Cervo' are carefully harvested by hand and undergo a short maceration to enhance the aromatic characteristics. Fermentation takes place in both oak barrels and stainless steel tanks, with some of the wine undergoing malolactic fermentation for added complexity. After aging on fine lees, the wine is blended and bottled, resulting in an expressive and balanced Chardonnay.
