Somontano is an emerging wine region in northeastern Spain, located at the foot of the Pyrenees. The region is known for its diversity of grape varieties and the innovative use of both local and international grape varieties. Somontano wines, from fresh white wines such as Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer to rich reds from Tempranillo and Merlot, offer an excellent balance of fruitiness, structure and complexity. These wines are perfect for pairing with grilled meats, stews, paella or cheeses.
