De wijn komt van verschillende percelen binnen de appellatie en combineert de typische structuur van Cabernet Sauvignon met het rijpe karakter van het oogstjaar 2020.<\/p>\n<h3>The Story of the Class of 2020<\/h3>\n<p>Het jaar 2020 kende in Bordeaux een warme zomer met droge perioden. Voor de wijnbouwers was de beschikbaarheid van water in de bodem een belangrijk aandachtspunt. Pauillac ligt op de linkeroever van de Gironde en staat bekend om zijn kiezelrijke bodems, die een goede afwatering bieden. Ch\u00e2teau Grand-Puy Ducasse werd in de classificatie van 1855 opgenomen als Cinqui\u00e8me Grand Cru Class\u00e9. De wijngaarden liggen op verschillende percelen binnen Pauillac. Dat maakt het mogelijk om druiven met verschillende nuances samen te brengen in de uiteindelijke assemblage. In een warm jaar zoals 2020 kan de wijn rijp donker fruit en concentratie tonen, terwijl de tannines en frisse zuren de klassieke structuur behouden. Met verdere flesrijping kunnen de jeugdige fruittonen geleidelijk plaatsmaken voor ceder, tabak en subtiele aardse aroma&#8217;s. De bewaaromstandigheden zijn daarbij van belang.<\/p>\n<h3>Aroma and taste<\/h3>\n<p>Verwacht cassis, zwarte kersen, bramen, grafiet en ceder. De smaak is vol en gestructureerd, met tannines die het fruit ondersteunen. De frisse spanning zorgt voor evenwicht.<\/p>\n<h3>Serving and Pairing<\/h3>\n<p>Serveer rond 16 tot 18 graden Celsius. Geef een jonge fles indien nodig wat lucht.
