That\u2019s a familiar historical context for a port that has had decades to age since then. The actual condition of a matured bottle depends on storage, the cork, and the condition of the bottle. Stand the bottle upright beforehand, open it carefully, and pour slowly to leave as much sediment behind as possible.<\/p>\n<h3>Aroma &amp; taste<\/h3>\n<p>In the glass, this port shows an evolved ruby color with amber reflections. The nose is refined with aromas of dried figs, plums, cocoa, nuts and subtle spices.
